Drug Uses
Desyrel is used for treatment of depression. It may also be used for relief of an free-floating anxiety (e.g., sleeplessness, tension), chronical pain. It may also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Desyrel as ordered by your doctor. Use Desyrel after a meal or light snack. It can take 1 to 4 weeks for Desyrel to work. Do not stop taking Desyrel without checking with your doctor.
Additional Information
Desyrel may cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Desyrel is taken with alcohol or certain other pills. Take Desyrel with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this pill. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your physician. Desyrel should be used only by the patient for whom it has been suggested. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your physician.
