Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not react to other medications. It is also used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other situations as recommended by your physician.
How Taken
Take Reglan as directed by your physician. Take Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Don't stop taking Reglan without checking with your physician.
Additional Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These effects may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if you feel bad, consult with your doctor. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't use less or more or use it more often than advised by your doctor.
