Drug Uses
Verapamil is used for curing of supraventricular tachycardia, a rhythm disturbance of the heart. It is also used for controlling heart rate response to other rhythm disturbances, specifically atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. It can also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Verapamil as suggested by your physician.
Additional Information
Verapamil may cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Verapamil is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Verapamil with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this drug. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, notify your doctor. This drug should be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than suggested by your doctor.
