Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not react to other treatment. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other conditions as suggested by your physician.
How Taken
Use Reglan as prescribed by your physician. Take Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without checking with your physician.
More Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These symptoms may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if you feel bad, ask your physician. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Do not use less or more or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
