The seminar for participants from India took place between the 2-4 June 2008 at the Borschette Centre in Brussels, Belgium. Invitations to administrators from the Indian government were issued and the seminar was attended by officials from the European Commission as well as representatives from the following Indian national bodies:

  • Department of Agriculture and Cooperation
  • Marine Product Export Development Authority (MPEDA),
  • Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA)
  • Export Inspection Council of India (EIC)
  • Department of Animal Husbandry
  • Department of Commerce
  • Department of Health and Family Welfare
Presentations were given by European and Indian speakers for the 3 day seminar. Copies of the speeches were distributed to participants on project USB sticks at the event and are also available under the presentations section of this website.
